Job - Highlights & Notes

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. (1:6 KJV)

(Satan) But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he (Job) will curse thee to thy face. (1:11 KJV)

(God) ...still he (Job) holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movest me against him, to destroy him without cause. (2:3 KJV)

19-jun-15is bone and flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. (2:5,6 KJV)

Then his (Job's) wife said to him, Do you still hold fast your blameless uprightness? Renounce God and die! But he said to her, You speak as one of the impious and foolish women would speak. What? Shall we accept only good at the hand of God and shall we not accept also misfortune and what is of a bad nature? In spite of all this, Job did not sin with his lips. (2:9,10 Amp) - Despite everything that the devil put Job through he held his faith and integrity.

By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed. (4:9 KJV)

The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken. The old lion perisheth for lack of prey (4:9-11 KJV) - The loud and proud and their offspring shall suffer. The old will perish because nobody will care for them.

the whelps of the lioness are scattered abroad. (4:11 Amp) - Women of sinners will cry out to other nations.

Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake. Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up: It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes (4:14-16 KJV) - Job may have made contact with ETs!

He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness (5:12,13 KJV)

the counsel of the schemers is brought to a quick end. (5:13 Amp)

At destruction and famine you shall laugh: neither shall you be afraid of the living creatures of the earth. (Job 5:22 Amp) - We are prepared!

For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. (5:23 KJV)

If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. (9:20 KJV)

Against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God. Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job. (32:2,3)

Canst thou draw out leviathan with a hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? (41:1 KJV)

Will he speak soft words to you [to coaz you to treat him kindly]? (41:3 Amp)

No one is so fierce [and foolhardy] that he dares to stir up [the crocodile] (41:10 Amp) - Can you see the cover up agenda here? Dragons are becoming jackals, owls are becoming ostriches, and the leviathan (which is supposed to be a dragon) is now translated into a crocodile. Job is very important.

His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. (41:15 KJV)

Who can strip off [the crocodile's] outer garment? [Who can penetrate his double coat of mail?] Who shall come within his jaws? (41:13 Amp)

Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. (41:14 KJV)
Who can open the doors of his lipless mouth? His [extended jaws and bare] teeth are terrible round about. (Amp)

After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations. So Job died, being old and full of days. (42:15-17 KJV) - This is what happens when you pass the test. Well done Job!
